I\u2019m 26 now \u2014 it wasn\u2019t that long ago,\u201d he recalled in a 2013 interview with GQ. \u201cI remember being tired, tripping from the studio, lying down, and falling into a deep sleep and seeing a vision of \u2018Pac talking to me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWeirdest shit ever. I\u2019m not huge on superstition and all that shit. That\u2019s what made it so crazy. It can make you go nuts. Hearing somebody that you looked up to for years saying, \u2018Don\u2019t let the music die.\u2019 Hearing it clear as day. Clear as day. Like, he\u2019s right there. Just a silhouette.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Explaining how the spiritual encounter influenced his approach to music, he added: \u201cIt wasn\u2019t just about money, hos, clothes, drinking. I mean, I come from that world, but at the same time, I started to realize that there\u2019s people out there that can\u2019t really connect to that lifestyle.
