Having spent the last few years focusing on his comedy career and expediTIously podcast, as well as fighting a few legal battles, the Grand Hustle general announced over the weekend: “T.I. is back.”

Tip kickstarted his comeback campaign by releasing a new single called “Let Em Know,” produced by longtime collaborator and Producer of the Year candidate (thanks to his work on the Clipse’s Grammy-nominated Let God Sort Em OutPharrell.

Backed by a bouncy, speaker-rattling beat from Skateboard P, who is responsible for past T.I. hits like “Blurred Lines,” “I’m Serious” and “Get Back Up” as well as the bulk of his 2014 album Paperwork, the Bankhead bully gets right back in his bag with a braggadocious anthem.

“All they do is fight for number two ’cause I’m the one / Still make ’em play with the one / All we know is success, hit her with some rich sex / Good luck gettin’ your bitch back, she forever mine ’til I let her go,” he spits.

Adding to the resurgence, T.I. has also cut off his dreads and returned to his familiar low fade — the clean-cut hairstyle that he rocked throughout his 2000s prime.

Listen to “Let Em Know” below.

“Let Em Know” is the first preview of T.I.’s long-awaited new album Kill the King, which will mark his final full-length release and first since 2020’s The L.I.B.R.A..

In a 2023 appearance on the We In Miami podcast, the Atlanta native revealed that the project will be a double album, with side A titled Kill the King and side B labeled Kiss the King.

He also said NBA YoungBoy would be featured on one of the first singles — a track he said will subvert fans’ expectations — although it’s unclear if that’s still the plan.

These 25 Rappers Have the Most Jay-Z Guest Verses

These 25 Rappers Have the Most Jay-Z Guest Verses

Rappers who have received a guest verse from Jay-Z should consider themselves blessed. Hov is inarguably one of hip-hop’s G.O.A.T.s, has spent the last three decades giving hip-hop some of the greatest bars the genre has seen in a career that includes 14 No. 1 albums, dozens of hit songs and countless hip-hop quoteables. While the 53-year-old rapper-billionaire has hopped on dozens of records in his career, he’s never spread himself too thin. There are some major rap stars who have never gotten a verse from Jigga and even more who have only been able to get one 16 from the god-level Brooklyn bar layer including Eminem and Nas.

There have long-been rumors that a Jay-Z verse could cost a rapper their entire budget. Another number that has been floating out there is $250,000. In July of 2022, Jigga claimed he no longer charges artists to appear on their tracks.

“It’s mostly relationships,” Jay-Z told Kevin Hart on the comedian’s Hart to Heart show on Peacock. “It’s actually always been mostly relationships. Sometimes it’s talent and sometimes someone asks me to be on something. Pretty much every song that I’m on I’m asked to be on. I don’t ask people to be on their songs. I never charge.”

“Way more nos than yeses,” Jay confirmed about the ratio of requests he actually obliges.
Over the years, some rappers have been more highly favored than others when it comes to being able to obtain a coveted guest verse from Jay-Z, with the number slimming down even more as of recent—Jay only appeared on three songs in 2022.

XXL highlights the rappers (and one DJ) who have tapped into the Jay-Z cheat code on a minimum of two occasions to find out which MC has been able get the most guest appearances from Mr. Carter over the years. Take a look at these 25 artists along with DJ Khaled to see who comes out on top below.

Many of Hip-Hop’s biggest stars have been giving back during this holiday season, spreading love to those in need.

Three of them, Fetty Wap, T.I., and 50 Cent, had events servicing their community, and people were smiling ear-to-ear in gratitude.

Fetty Wap, a New Jersey native, hosted his giveaway on Tuesday, November 22nd, in Patterson, NJ, providing the community with bags full of must-haves for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, according to CBS.

The “Trap Queen” artist partnered with Colleges Achieve School, led by Dr. Gemar Mills to help about 500 family members. Fetty Wap was not in attendance because he is currently in prison for dealing kilos of cocaine, but his family members came out in proxy.

On the same day, T.I. hosted his 17th Annual Turkey Giveaway to hundreds in Northwest Atlanta, KWCH reports. This charitable effort did more than give away birds, but also provided bags (branded by Humana, the partner) of meal essentials.

“I can’t say how much this event means because I know now people in this area deserve to have a happy holiday,” Tip said. “They deserve to eat with their families and be at peace, just like everyone else does. So whatever we can do to provide that for them it brings me, my wife, my children the utmost honor.”

Queens native and new Houston transplant 50 Cent hooked up with the Houston Rockets’ Clutch City Foundation to help the underserved and vulnerable through his G-Unity Foundation.

The meal included a turkey and food items donated by the G-Unity Foundation, Kroger, and Spec’s. In total, Fif blessed 1,000 people.

In addition to the food, guests received a ticket voucher to an upcoming Rockets home game, Click 2 Houston stated.

While not a rapper, Usher, another Atlanta hero, hosted a holiday giveback on Wednesday, November 23rd, at the Freedom Village Family Service Center in Sandy Springs, GA.

Like the artists, we hope all have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
