Migos Breakup Rumors Flood Twitter After Offset Unfollows Quavo + Takeoff

Source: HipHopDX

Migos fans are worried the Atlanta trio may be on the verge of calling it quits — or already have.

On Wednesday (May 18), Migos was a trending Twitter topic after an eagle-eyed fan noticed Offset and his wife Cardi B had unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff on social media. The move comes on the same day Quavo and Takeoff announced a new collaborative single called “Hotel Lobby” under the monikers Unc and Phew, a nod to their familial ties.

Migos latest album — Culture III — arrived last June, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. At the time, the trio appeared to be a united front, often doing interviews together and promoting their fourth studio effort with vigor. Speaking to NME, Offset credited Migos’ success to old fashioned “blood, sweat and tears.”

He continued, “It’s always been a part of our story that we show up with the goods and prove you wrong. That’s been our narrative from then, and we’ve been good with that. It always leaves room for improvement.”

Quavo added, “It’s a blessing to be ahead of the curve. We always want to prove ourselves because we don’t do much talking. We don’t run around saying that we’re the best and ain’t nobody better than us; we like to work. We put in the practice and the time, and sometimes we don’t get credited for it. We feel some type of way behind that when we feel mis-credited.”

A lot can change in a year and if Offset’s social media behavior is any indication of what’s ahead, Migos as rap fans once knew them could be a thing of the past. Check out some of the reactions below.

Hulu Unveils Trailer For ‘Look At Me: XXXTentacion’ Documentary

Source: AllHipHop

Hulu’s documentary ‘Look At Me: XXXTentacion’ hits the streaming service on May 26 after premiering at the 2022 SXSW Festival in March.

Hulu released the trailer for its upcoming documentary Look At Me: XXXTentacion on Wednesday (May 18).

The video gives fans a preview of the film, which features archival footage and interviews with the late rapper’s friends and family. XXXTentacion’s mother Cleopatra Bernard and his ex-girlfriend Geneva Ayala appear in the trailer.

Hulu’s trailer confirms the documentary won’t avoid covering the abuse allegations against XXXTentacion. The controversial artist was facing multiple criminal charges prior to his death in 2018.

Look At Me: XXXTentacion premiered at the 2022 South by Southwest Festival in March. The film will be available to stream on Hulu on May 26.

Sabaah Folayan directed the documentary. FADER Films produced it with Rob Stone among the executive producers.

“Look at Me explores how Florida teenager Jahseh Onfroy became SoundCloud rapper XXXTentacion, one of the most streamed artists on the planet,” the official synopsis reads. “Through frank commentary from family, friends and romantic partners, and unseen archival footage, director Sabaah Folayan offers a sensitive portrayal of an artist whose acts of violence, raw musical talent and open struggles with mental health left an indelible mark on his generation before his death at the age of 20.”

LeBron James has revealed his top five favorite hip-hop albums of all time.

On Tuesday (May 16), LeBron James hit up Twitter during some apparent downtime to offer up a question-and-answer session to his 51.3 million followers. While LeBron was taking the time out to connect with the people, one Twitter user, who goes by @SierraAPorter95, asked the Los Angeles Lakers small forward to list his top five hip-hop albums.

While explaining that he has many rap albums that he would’ve liked to mention, King James obliged the Twitter user by offering up five LPs that many people also consider to be some of the greatest of all time. In a tweet that has since racked up over 5,500 likes, the four-time NBA champion listed:

Dr. Dre’s – The Chronic,
Snoop Dogg’s – Doggystyle
Jay-Z’s – The Black Album
The Notorious B.I.G.’s – Life After Death;  and
Nas’ – It Was Written.
