Eminem has hinted he has new music in the works and said he is open to making a joint album with 50 Cent.
Source: HipHopDX
Speaking to DJ Whoo Kid on his own radio channel Shade 45, the Detroit rap legend teased new material, saying: “I’m working on a little something.”
Whoo Kid then asked Eminem about a potential collaborative album with 50 Cent, to which the Shady Records boss replied: “I don’t know where that’s come from but it’s crazy.”
Em also revealed he’s been trying to get his “Patiently Waiting” rhyming partner to put together a new album: “I’m trying to get him to make a new album so bad. We need another 50 album like really bad. 50’s on a roll right now. He’s been on a roll since the tour.
“I told him whatever the fuck he needs from me, I’m here. That shit’d be crazy, though — an album with me and him.”
Check out his comments at the 7:14 mark below.
Eminem’s last studio album, Music to Be Murdered By, arrived in January 2020 and was followed by a Side B deluxe edition in December of that year.
He also released the compilation album Curtain Call 2 — the sequel to his 2005 greatest hits record — in 2022, which featured some of his biggest songs from the second half of his career as well as previously unreleased material.
While fans have continued to clamor for new music, Em has largely remained silent on the prospect of another album.
50 Cent, meanwhile, has previously teased that he would be reuniting with Dr. Dre for a new album, which would mark his first since 2014’s Animal Ambition.

21 Savage Tops Billboard 200 Chart
On Sunday (Jan. 21), Billboard announced the latest top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart, which revealed 21 Savage’s new American Dream album sits at the top spot. The Atlanta rapper’s third solo LP moved 133,00 equivalent album units in its first week. This is 21 Savage’s fourth top three solo debut. His freshman offering, Issa Album, debuted at No. 2 in 2017 with 77,000 units. 2018’s I Am > I Was moved 131,000 units on its way to the top spot on the chart. Savage Mode 2 with Metro Boom debuted at No. 1 in 2020. 21 also has another No. 1 album with his Her Loss joint project with Drake. 21 Savage’s latest LP features guest appearances from Doja Cat, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Metro Boomin and more.
Other rappers in the top 10 of this week’s Billboard 200 chart include Drake (For All the Dogs, No. 4) and Nicki Minaj (Pink Friday 2, No. 7), both of which were released in 2023.
21 Savage Preps New Biopic Film
21 Savage is currently prepping the release of his biopic film America Dream: The 21 Savage Story, which was announced earlier this month. The movie will star Childish Gambino and Stranger Things actor Caleb McLaughlin as the rapper at different points in his life. The movie is slated to be released on July 4, 2024.
21 Savage Moves to America
21 Savage, whose government name is Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was born in London, England in 1992. At 7 years old, he, his mother and his siblings relocated to Atlanta where he was raised during his formative years. This is where his American dream begins.
Decides to Pursue a Rap Career
After dabbling with writing rhymes as a teen, 21 Savage realized a career in hip-hop was the lane for him in 2013. In the face of adversity, the Atlanta mainstay turned tragedy into triumph by pursuing his passion as a rapper after being shot six times. His dream certainly became a reality.

The iconic film Purple Rain starring the late Prince is set to be turned into a stage musical. On Monday (January 8), theatre producer Orin Wolf confirmed the 1984 rock musical film is being adapted for the Broadway stage. The project will be helmed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, who recently directed the acclaimed show, The Skin of Our Teeth.
“It’s been almost 40 years since Prince’s legendary film, Purple Rain, took the world by storm and we can’t think of a more fitting tribute than to honor Prince and the Purple Rain legacy with this stage adaptation of the beloved story,” L. Londell McMillan, chairman of The NorthStar Group, and Larry Mestel, founder and chief executive of Primary Wave Music, said in a joint statement.
The musical will follow the story of an up-and-coming rock musician in the Minneapolis club scene. It’s set to feature a number of classic Prince tracks, including “When Doves Cry,” “Let’s Go Crazy” and “I Would Die 4 U” as well as the titular song, “Purple Rain.”
The music icon’s film won an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score and made around $70 million at the box office when it was first released. Prince, real name Prince Rogers Nelson, died of an accidental fentanyl overdose in 2016. He was 57.
Representatives of the rightsholders to his music have confirmed they are supportive of the production.

Abel got the best of Drizzy in this round to close out 2023, as his hit single “Starboy” surpassed Drake’s “One Dance” on the Spotify all-time charts.
Per Pop Crave, “Starboy” slid into sixth place on the list of the most-streamed songs on Spotify ever, with over 2.9 billion streams to push Drake’s bop one spot lower.
Drake and The Weeknd were also back-to-back when Spotify revealed its top streaming artists for 2023 last month with Abel taking the No. 3 spot — despite not having dropped an album in 2023 — and the 6 God right behind him at No. 4 with over 11 billion streams.

Drake took home plenty of hardware and accolades as well after another busy year with the release of his eighth studio album, For All The Dogs.
Drizzy won Spotify’s Hip Hop 2023 MVP honors over the likes of Metro Boomin, Lil Baby, 21 Savage and more in what appears to be a fan-voted award.
“The people have spoken. 2023’s #AllRapCaviar MVP is Drake,” RapCaviar‘s Instagram captioned a post to close out July.
Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss also wears the Spotify streaming collab crown as the 2022 joint project hit 2.7 billion streams in November, surpassing Watch The Throne‘s previous record of 2.6 billion.
The first joint album between the Toronto and Atlanta natives received mixed reviews upon release but was a commercial success, moving over 400,000 units in its first week of sales.
In the year since, the album has been certified double platinum by the RIAA and is nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
